Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through bocastr.com, including the availability-request form and the optional Boca STR text-messaging program. It does not replace the privacy terms of unrelated websites or services that may be linked from this site.
Information we collect
When you request availability, we may collect information you provide, such as:
- Your name, email address, and optional telephone number.
- Your requested arrival and departure dates and guest count.
- Information you include in your message about the stay.
- Whether you chose to receive informational text messages, together with the date, method, source page, and version of the consent notice shown to you.
Our systems may also receive limited technical information needed to operate and protect the form, such as your browser type, referring page, IP address, submission time, and anti-spam results.
How we use information
We use information to review your requested dates, respond to questions, coordinate availability and stay details, protect the form from abuse, maintain delivery records, and operate and improve the website. If you separately opt in to text messages, we may also use your mobile number for the informational purposes described in our SMS Terms.
We do not use an optional telephone number as permission to send text messages unless you affirmatively select the SMS-consent checkbox.
Mobile and SMS privacy
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may disclose this information to service providers solely as necessary to deliver, route, secure, and support Boca STR communications. SMS consent is not transferred to those providers for their own marketing.
You can withdraw SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to a Boca STR text or by contacting us. After an opt-out request is processed, no further messages covered by that consent will be sent unless you affirmatively opt in again.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the website, screen submissions for spam, deliver email and text communications, route inquiry notifications to the Boca STR team, and maintain operational records. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for Boca STR, protect their systems, or meet legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or respond to a valid legal request.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry and consent records for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, operate the service, document consent and opt-out history, resolve disputes, and meet legal or operational obligations. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
- You may submit an availability request without providing a telephone number.
- You may provide a telephone number without opting in to text messages.
- You may decline or later withdraw SMS consent without affecting your ability to request or book a stay.
- You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of information, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, or operational reasons.
